Heimann Sensor GmbH is a globally leading supplier of high-quality infrared thermopiles,
Digital thermopile arrays and pyroelectric sensors for remote temperature measurement, gas analysis and IR Imaging.
Heimann Sensor offers a wide range of thermopile sensors for non-contact temperature measurements and gas detection. Thermopiles consist of many thermocouples that are usually connected in series. They generate a small electric voltage when exposed to infrared (IR) radiation or heat.

Thermopile arrays and Imaging –
Heimann Sensor has the world's most advanced thermopile technology for building low-cost/high-performance thermal imaging solutions. We offer a wide range of products ranging from small arrays with 8x8 elements, medium sized arrays with 16x16 and 32x32 elements to larget arrays with up to 80x64 and 120x84 elements for higher spatial resolutions.
Thermopile Modules –
Heimann Sensor's thermopile modules consist of a thermopile sensor or thermopile array with an integrated ASIC for signal conditioning. The ASIC amplifies the small sensor's voltage and provides either an analog or a digital output.
Pyroelectric Sensors –
Pyroelectric single-element and multi-channel infrared detectors from Heimann Sensor are designed for usage in spectroscopy, pyrometry and security engineering applications.
IR Light Sources –
For gas analysis, gas detection and gas concentration measurements an infrared (IR) light source is required. We offer two types of IR light sources. The HSL Series is a low-cost IR source which can be used for all applications where the absorption wavelenghts are shorter than 4.5 µm. For gases like CO or NOx, a broad band IR source of the EMIRS Series should be used to generate an appropriate signal level.
Vacuum Sensing –
Besides thermopiles, Heimann Sensor also offers solutions for vacuum sensing for wide pressure ranges. These are MEMS type pirani vacuum sensors.
